Johnny Manziel makes debut in Fan Controlled Football league

Johnny Manziel completed only 1-of-5 passes for 11 yards Saturday night in his debut in the Fan Controlled Football (FCF) league.

“Feels like I’m super washed up, but still had a blast,’’ he said after his team, the Zappers, lost to the Beasts, 48-44. “That was the most fun I’ve had in a while.’’

Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL quarterback, scrambled for 38 yards on his first play from scrimmage but was in no mood to boast.

“You see me get caught from behind, too?’’ he said of his opening run. “Times have changed. We’re definitely in 2021.’’
