AEP Texas restored electricity to many more customers affected by a “load shed” Thursday night after winter weather swept the area.
As of 7:45 p.m. Thursday, more than 90% of AEP customers affected by the shed had power restored. AEP estimates about 95% of all customers will have power by the end of Friday, according to a news release.

Customers without power should turn appliances off and disconnect all electronic equipment from plugs to expedite the power restoration process.
