How many people are vaccinated?

Nueces County has administered more than 304,134 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, as of July 20, according to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services.

That’s up 1.12% from the previous week’s tally of 300,774 COVID-19 doses administered.

In Nueces County, 41% of people living in Nueces County are fully vaccinated as of July 20. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they’ve been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or a second shot (either Pfizer or Moderna).

Texas reported 3,049,688 total cases of coronavirus, an increase of 0.83% from the week before.

The five counties with the highest percentage of their population fully vaccinated in Texas as of July 20 are Presidio County (67%), Hudspeth County (61%), Fort Bend County (59%), Webb County (58%) and Starr County (57%).
