Mission, TX- Local residents are invited to attend a Pet Pawty in the Park hosted by the City of Mission. A special announcement will also be made at the pet-friendly event.

“Pets are family too,” Mayor Dr. Armando O’Caña said. “This is a family-friendly opportunity for our community members to bring their furry friends out to return some of the love they so unconditionally offer us.”

The pet event is set for Monday Oct. 11 at 3 p.m. at Bannworth Dog Park, 1822 N. Shary Road, and is free to attend. Families are encouraged to come and bring their pets for special treats and gifts.

“This is a great opportunity for residents to bring their pets and have fun. Plus, we will be unveiling some exciting information for our animal loving community,” Mayor O’Caña said. “It’s big news for the City of Mission. You don’t want to miss it!”

There will be free refreshments for humans too.
