Aurora Arts Theatre presents “Our Lady of the Tortilla” at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays Jan. 28 through March 12 at 5635 Everhart Road. Stage Door Canteen at USS Lexington Museum
The USS Lexington Museum on the Bay presents its annual Stage Door Canteen at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18 at 2914 N. Shoreline Blvd. Featuring music by the USS Lexington Big Band Orchestra, attendees are encouraged to wear their dancing shoes and dress in business casual, 1940s-era fashion, or a WWII military uniform. 2022 Polar Plunge benefitting Special Olympics
The Corpus Christi Police Department Law Enforcement Torch Run Team presents the 2022 Polar Plunge benefitting Special Olympics Texas at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19 at Water’s Edge Park, 602 S. USS Lexington Museum on the Bay
The USS Lexington Museum on the Bay is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at 2914 N. Shoreline Blvd. Tour the longest serving Essex Class aircraft carrier of World War II. The 16-deck “Blue Ghost” displays military artifacts and more than 20 aircraft, take one of five tour routes, visit the 3D Mega Theater, flight simulator and more. South Texas Botanical Gardens
The South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at 8545 S. Staples St. Tour the 182-acre showcase on Oso Creek or stop by one of the specialty gardens or the screened Butterfly House, Anderson Bromeliad or Samuel Jones Orchid Conservatory. And don’t forget to visit the resident reptiles and parrots. Masks are required indoors (including vaccinated individuals). Collier Pool, Natatorium open for lap and general swim
Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department’s Collier Pool, 3801 Harris Drive and Corpus Christi Natatorium, 3202 Cabanis Pkwy., are open for lap and general swim for the spring 2022 season. Collier general swim hours are 4:30-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Lap swim hours are 5–7:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
