The City of McAllen will be constructing and adding amenities to Morris Park, to complement the walking trail in the area, including a restroom facility; decomposed granite trail with concrete curbs; Musco field lighting; benches, picnic tables; water fountain; trail lighting; ADA walkway ramp from Perez Elementary School; and entry arches.

The total cost of the project will be $1,348,935, designed by Milnet Architectural Services and the project contractor is RG Enterprises.  The project is expected to take approximately six months, with an estimated completion date of December 27, 2023
