EDINBURG, Texas – The City of Edinburg is set to unveil the new and improved Jose Nieto and Consuelo Alfaro Robledo Center, fondly known throughout the community as the El Tule Recreational Center, this Friday, September 15, 2023.

The ribbon cutting for the long-awaited $5.3 million project will be held at 10 a.m. at 700 South Veterans Boulevard. The 27,000-square-foot building features three basketball courts and a 2,000-foot walking trail surrounding the facility.

Residents and members of the media are invited to join city staff at this week’s ribbon cutting as Edinburg proudly debuts this remarkable new addition. This marks another milestone in the city’s ongoing effort to provide state-of-the-art facilities, fostering a healthier and more active city for all.
