The highlight of the week is the annual Mission Veterans Parade, scheduled for November 11, 2023, starting at 12 p.m. The parade promises to be a vibrant display of patriotism, featuring over 60 entries of stunning floats, spirited school bands, horses, and much more. This year, the Parade Marshal is veteran L David Flores Jr, Retired Sergeant Major, who currently serves as the Mission Assistant City Manager. We encourage the community to come out in force to support our veterans and enjoy this extraordinary display. The parade starts at Conway Ave. & Business 83 and runs along E Business 83.

Following the parade, the celebration continues with a spectacular music festival from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. at the 5×5 Brewing Co. located at 801 Bryan Rd. The Loud and Clear Veteran Music Festival will offer a lively and memorable experience featuring veteran artists across the Rio Grande Valley and Texas.

Mayor of Mission Norie Gonzalez Garza expressed her excitement for the upcoming events. “We are proud to honor our veterans and show them the immense gratitude they deserve. There is so much planned, so we hope the community unites for these festivities.”

All events are open to the public and are free of charge. Below is the schedule of events for the four days of festivities. For more details, visit https://missiontexas.us/veterans-day-schedule/.
