Each year, the community descends upon Port Isabel High School, at 18001 Texas Highway 100 in Laguna Heights, to find friends and neighbors inside enjoying a warm meal and family festivities. With the holiday season right around the corner, H-E-B will put on its 33rd annual Feast of Sharing on Wednesday, November 15, from 5-9 p.m. This year, H-E-B’s Mobile Kitchens will serve complimentary traditional Texas-style meals. They will feature music, family activities, and various free services such as wellness screenings and flu shots. Event planners expect around 1,500 guests.

The H-E-B Feast of Sharing is a series of festive gatherings during the holiday season that serve over 340,000 meals at 34 dinner events throughout Texas and Mexico. These free holiday feasts are open to the public and aim to foster community by bringing together family, friends, and neighbors for a joyous occasion. Launched in 1989, the Feast of Sharing allows H-E-B to thank its loyal customers by inviting everyone to the holiday dinner table.

This initiative is integral to H-E-B’s Hunger Relief Program, which works year-round to feed the hungry. Hunger relief has been a critical focus for H-E-B since the first store opened in 1905. For more than a century now, H-E-B’s commitment and involvement in the communities it serves has been an essential part of how the company does business.
