BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Nearly 500 participants from South Texas and Northern Mexico gathered to take part in the annual Port of Brownsville 5K1M Dock Dash held Oct. 14.
The free community event provides a healthy activity for families, local schools, and avid runners centered around the Brownsville Ship Channel. Each participant was awarded commemorative medal as they crossed the finish line.
This year’s event was made possible by the generous support of sponsors including Rio Grande LNG, Lone Star National Bank, the Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority, and Brownsville Rio Grande International Railway/OmniTRAX.
