The 10th  annual South Texas All Hazards Conference is the second largest training conference of its type in the State of Texas and is the only conference offered at no charge to the invited participants. Individuals from public health, public safety, public works, incident and emergency management, law enforcement, and educational institutions are expected to attend.  The conference is open to local, state or federal personnel who respond to emergencies, including natural disasters or man-made. Due to NIMS protocol, the workshops and training sessions will be closed to media and the public. 

Press Passes are required to cover the event.

However, news professionals are invited to the opening ceremony,  news conference and keynote addresson Wednesday at the Performing Arts Center – which will include key presenters and organizers, including:

Press passes may be picked up between 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26 in the Palm Lobby at the McAllen Convention Center. Media will not be allowed in ceremony or press conference without a press pass.

The news conference will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. Please plan on arriving at least 15 minutes early to set up.

Guest speakers and emergency management officials will only be available for interviews during the news conference. Please respect the NIMS protocol during this event.
