In the last six years, there have been 42 deaths and 277 serious injuries on McAllen roadways.

The City of McAllen is developing its Vision Zero Action Plan, a plan with the goal of reducing severe injuries and fatalities in City of McAllen roadways to ZERO.  The plan will help determine how to make improvements in the future to protect bicyclist, pedestrians, vehicular traffic and all roadway users.

The team developing the plan will be conducting surveys at strategic locations throughout McAllen, ensuring the inclusion of all road users, including motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, and diverse stakeholders.
