Friends of Animal Rescue announce new shelter – Port Isabel-South Padre Press

Friends of Animal Rescue (FAR) projects to break ground on their new four story animal facility that will include a new animal shelter, boarding, grooming and daycare, an animal care facility with 24-hour emergency service and a fourth for administrative offices and condos for staff veterinarians. The project will take 18-24 months to complete, according to FAR representatives.

“Words can’t begin to express how grateful Friends of Animal Rescue is to all who participated by attending our fundraiser,” Jacky Conrad CEO Board President & Co Founder of FAR stated. “It was the largest fundraiser for Friends of Animal Rescue yet,” Jacky continued.

“We appreciate all who donated auction items, gave monetary donations, bid and purchased auction packages at Raise the Ruff at Laguna Bob.” The current amount raised is about $81,000 and donations are continuing to come in. Jacky continued, “It’s not too late to add yours. All money goes to our capital campaign.”
