EDINBURG – Hidalgo County Precinct 4 Commissioner Ellie Torres invites you to the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Mission-McAllen Drain Phase III. This project is another drainage enhancement under the 2023 Drainage Bond Program. The scope of work consists of excavation and embankment and removal of existing down drains and the installation of new ones, as well as re-grading, reconstruction and widening of the drain.

The groundbreaking ceremony for Phase I of the Mission-McAllen Drain was held in September; Precinct 4 is working diligently to ensure all four phases of the project commence as soon as possible. Over the past years, Precinct 4 has worked on improving drainage infrastructure by leveraging in-house projects and utilizing funds from 2018 Bond, 2023 Bond along with state and federal resources. These combined efforts have successfully brought numerous drainage improvements in the precinct.
