MISSION, Texas – Hidalgo County Precinct 3 is excited to announce the groundbreaking of the much-anticipated 5K Mansion Linear Park Trail. This project aims to enhance the health and wellness of the community through the creation of a 3.1-mile bicycle and pedestrian trail. The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 3 at the Precinct 3 Administration Office, located at 724 N. Breyfogle Rd., in Mission.

The 5K Mansion Linear Park Trail promises to be an important asset to our Precinct 3 community, encouraging physical activity and promoting mental well-being. The trail, designed for cyclists, walkers, joggers, and runners, is a significant investment in the quality of life for the residents of Precinct 3.

Location: N. Breyfogle Rd. to N. Inspiration Rd.
Length: 3.1 miles
Surface: Concrete for durability and safety
Configuration: Closed-loop design, allowing seamless use without the need to backtrack
Safety Features: HAWK signalized crossing systems at key intersections and pavement markings to ensure safety for both pedestrians and cyclists
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible
Expected Completion Date: May 2025
Project cost: Estimated at $2.4 million
