WESLACO, Texas – Hidalgo County Precinct 1 Commissioner David L. Fuentes along with the City of Weslaco, will host the 4th Annual Breast Cancer awareness walk at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 5h to raise awareness, and celebrate survivorship.

There is no registration required for this free event. The entire community is invited to join the all-ages walk. All participants are encouraged to wear pink. “Our goal is to help save lives,” said Fuentes. “Please allow this walk to be a reminder that early detection is the best protection against breast cancer.”

The walk will start at Weslaco City Hall located on 255 S. Kansas Ave. in Weslaco.
