Bee Attack in McAllen – Texas Border Business

McALLEN, Texas – Saturday Oct  26th – At 12:28 pm, the McAllen Fire Dept began receiving 911 calls of a person being attacked by bees in the 1900 block of W. Hackberry Ave.

With a fire station just a few blocks away, the first fire crew arrived at 12:31 PM, and encountered an adult male individual on the ground being attacked by the bees.

Firefighters removed the victim from the area and initiated medical treatment. The primary victim was taken to the hospital for further care.

In the process of the rescue and in the fulfillment of their duties, various firefighters, paramedics, and police officers were also stung by bees. One firefighter was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. 

The beehive was located and mitigated.
