On Nov. 18, 2024, Cameron County Sheriff’s Deputies made contact with SpaceX security, who advised them of a male subject who had entered one of their buildings not open to the public. The trespasser was identified as 59- year-old Frank Buhram. Sheriff’s Deputies observed Buhram on surveillance footage walking and looking around a SpaceX building, pulling on door handles to try to get in, but they were all locked. Buhram is then seen waiting for an employee to walk in, taking advantage of this by sneaking in behind the employee. Buhram remained inside the building just looking around before he takes a beverage and walks out. Buhram was then detained as he exited the building. He was placed under arrest and charged with Criminal Trespass, a class B misdemeanor. Buhram was transported to Carrizales Rucker Detention Center for arraignment.
The following day, on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, at 01:06 a.m., Deputies working security detail at SpaceX were advised of an unwanted person on the property. SpaceX security guards were with a female who refused to leave the property. The female was identified as 25-year-old Ting Ting Zhang who stated that her “boyfriend,” Elon Musk, was waiting for her arrival. SpaceX security guards advised that she was not an approved visitor and that they asked her to leave the premises, but she refused. Sheriff’s Deputies placed Ting Ting Zhang under arrest for Criminal Trespass. She was also transported to Carrizales Rucker Detention Center for arraignment.
