HARLINGEN – Harlingen Water Works plans to close a segment of Ed Carey Drive in Harlingen, starting at midnight, to replace a collapsed sewer line.

The emergency repairs will require a full closure of Ed Carey Drive, from 200 feet north of the Union Pacific railroad tracks south of US Business 77 to Glasscock Avenue. 

The work is expected to be completed by Saturday, December 14, at 4 p.m. Drivers will have to seek alternate routes until then.
