While many holiday events have passed or were canceled due to last week’s inclement weather, those pining for holiday events still have plenty to patronize throughout the next serval days leading to Christmas Day.
Los Fresnos is hosting a free Rodeo Market Days event on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Patrons can shop, eat, snap photos with Santa, and even win prizes. The event is being held at the Los Fresnos Rodeo Grounds, 500 E. Ocean Blvd., Los Fresnos, TX, and features unique gifts, crafts, and goods from local vendors. Attendees can also participate in a raffle for an opportunity to win prizes, according to an event flyer. The raffle is free to enter just for attending Rodeo Market Day. The event is also featuring live music.

The City of Rio Hondo is then sponsoring its 2024 Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 21, starting at 6 p.m. The parade will move along downtown Rio Hondo. For more information, call (956) 748-2102.
