Rowdy bar fight breaks out at guard house
Quite a party of rowdies broke into the Military Guard house Sunday night. We saw them come forth in the morning, a beaten and bruised looking set. We didn’t learn whether or not they continued their fight after being put in the guard house. (The Daily Ranchero (Brownsville, TX.) January 14, 1868)

The most dangerous of these are $5, $10, and $100 note. The list follows.: New counterfeit $5 silver certificate Indian Head; Series 1899;. This is another zinc production, printed on two pieces of paper, between which a few silk threads have been distributed. Series 199; $5; The paper is of good quality, with red ink lines to imitate the silk threads of the genuine. New counterfeit $10 United States Note: “Buffalo Note” series of 1901. A lithographic production. It is printed on two pieces of thin paper of good quality, between which silk threads have been distributed. New counterfeit $10 National Bank note on the Miller River National Bank, of Athol, Massachusetts. This counterfeit is printed on two sheets of thin paper between which silk threads have been stipulated. New counterfeit $1.00 gold certificate; Department series.
