The 2025 Hog Waddle concert and cookoff is slated for Feb. 20 – 23. Tickets can be purchased online at cityofsanbenito.com or in person at the San Benito Public Library.
The Hog Waddle carnival opened on Thursday, Feb. 20.
Multiple concerts will be in full swing on Friday, Feb. 21. Guests can enjoy performances by Randy Rodgers, Louie TheSinger, Buck’n Crazy, and Cheyenne. Louie will take the stage at 6 p.m., Cheyenne at 7 p.m., Buck’n Crazy at 8:15 p.m., and Randy Rodgers at 10 p.m. The carnival will open at 5 p.m.
On Saturday, Feb. 22, the carnival opens at 1 p.m. The Conjunto Showcase will start at 1:30 p.m. Artists featured include Cardenales, performing at 10 p.m., Los Viejones de Linares, performing at 8 p.m., and Milla 22, performing at 6 p.m. The Lucha Libre event will go from 6-8 p.m.
The last day of the weekend event is Sunday with a full day of performances, free to the public. The carnival will open at 1 p.m. The musical act, School of Rock, will begin at 3:30 p.m. Whiskey D will take the stage at 7:30 p.m., and the AD/DC tribute band “Thunderstruck” will start at 8 p.m. General admission is free in this day, but guests can purchase a VIP table for $25. The table can seat up to ten people, according to the City of San Benito.
General admission tickets are $20; VIP pit tickets are $50; VIP seats for rows 3-10 are $80, and premium VIP seats for rows 1-2 are $100.
According to the City of San Benito’s official Facebook page, kids 12 and under can enter for free. Concert seats are limited. Tickets will be available at the door but will have increased prices. Online ticket sales will end soon, according to event officials.
The Hog Waddle will also feature a cook-off with up to $5,000 in cash and prizes. Categories include pork ribs, chicken brisket, pork butt, charro beans, and fajitas. To register, call (956) 361-3800 ext. 304.
