Port Isabel—Twelve persons arrested for indecent exposure yesterday after they allegedly appeared nude on the south padre island beach, remain in jail at Brownsville today. Cameron county deputy sheriff Nem Bryan said he and other deputies arrested them after receiving a report that someone was running up and down the beach and swimming in the gulf of Mexico in the nude. Bryan said the 12 were observed and photographed before their arrest. Bond was set at 200 dollars each for the 11 New York residents and one Pennsylvania man.

Two Brownsville obstetricians probably had a few irritated patients today—the doctors spent most of the day at the zoo. There they delivered a two-and-a-half pound orangutan by Caesarean section. That’s said to be a medical first. The baby is fine. The mother is doing as well as can be expected for one described by the zoo director as “homely—cross-eyed—and undoubtedly one of the ugliest orangutans in the world.” (WBAP-TV (Television station : Fort Worth, Tex.) Drifting Shrimper Towed to Port
The shrimp boat Trout, which broke a towing line and was adrift in the Gulf off Baffin Bay for several hours yesterday morning, was located shortly after noon yesterday by the shrimper Tillie and towed to port by that boat. The boats Three Sisters and Iwo assisted in the search for the craft, which developed engine trouble Monday and was crewless when she broke loose from the tow and began drifting. A Navy plane assisted in the search.
