Suspect in Expressway 83 shooting on run from McAllen police

McAllen police are searching for the suspect of a shooting that left a man hospitalized early Saturday morning. 

According to a news release, officers responded to a call at about 2:13 a.m. Saturday and found a man with gunshot wounds in the parking lot of a business in the 4100 block of Expressway 83 in McAllen. 

The victim was provided emergency medical care and transported to a local hospital for medical treatment, the release stated. 

Meanwhile, police said the suspect was reported to have fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival. 

No other immediate information was available. 

McAllen police officers and investigators continue to investigate the shooting.
