SpaceX on Thursday afternoon announced that it was scrubbing its planned launch of Starship/Super Heavy from Boca Chica Beach.
Now, the company is targeting Friday with a 90-minute test window opening at 5:45 p.m., SpaceX said in a media release.
Flight 13 has been scrubbed twice now, with the July 13 test launch being scrubbed at T-0 after a portion of the booster’s 33 Raptor engines failed to ignite for liftoff, triggering an automatic abort of the planned suborbital flight.
The remaining back up dates with the same launch window are Friday and July 29.
There was no immediate confirmation on why the launch was scrubbed, but portions of storms related to Tropical Storm Bertha are near the Rio Grande Valley and the National Weather Service Brownsville/Rio Grande Valley reported Thursday rainstorms were possible across the region.
