HARLINGEN, TX — A new Center for Pain Relief, led by pain-medicine specialist Dr. Justin Faye, opened here on September 14, servicing San Benito and the surrounding areas.
The new pain management clinic is at 1713 Treasure Hills Blvd, Suite 2D, in Harlingen. The Center for Pain Relief is a member of Prime Healthcare, which also operates Harlingen Medical Center.
The community is invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Center for Pain Relief, scheduled for October 15 at 5 p.m. The event will feature food and refreshments, along with educational information on advances in pain treatment.
In its efforts to relieve pain, the new clinic is treating a broad range of medical conditions, including back and neck pain, neuropathic pain, sports injuries, headaches and migraines, arthritis and joint pain, and post-surgical pain.
Treatment options are tailored to each patient and include: nerve blocks, trigger point injections, physical therapy, epidural steroid injections, spinal cord stimulation, and medication management.
“At the Center for Pain Relief, we specialize in comprehensive, individualized pain management, using advanced techniques to improve patients’ functioning and quality of life,” Dr. Faye said. “We look forward to serving patients in the Harlingen area. Our goal is to help them get back to living pain-free.”
Dr. Faye is experienced in providing advanced, personalized care for acute and chronic pain. He is board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation | Pain Medicine and serves on the medical staff at Harlingen Medical Center.
Dr. Faye completed a Fellowship in Pain Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He also completed a Residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation with a Distinction in Pain Medicine at One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Mdical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
In addition, Dr. Faye completed an internship in general surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He received a Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation.
He also received a Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy from the University of Texas – MD Anderson Cancer Center / School of Health Professions. He previously served as an officer in the United States Army, where he received numerous commendations, including the Army Commendation Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
